Illinois · Copper & aluminum
We buy electrical wire leftover from project. We buy industrial wire.
Unused reels, partial spools, coils and overstock cable from contractors, distributors, plants and utilities — anywhere in Illinois. Send a photo and the details, and we take it from there.
What we buy
Surplus wire, priced on what it actually is
Copper or aluminum, on reels, spools, coils or in cartons. If it is electrical conductor and it is unused, we want to see the tag and a photo.

What a surplus load looks like
Reels and spools from closeouts, plant shutdowns and cancelled projects. Full, partial, banded or opened — all of it gets reviewed.

How it works
Three steps, no obligation
No account to create and no commitment to accept the offer.
-
Send the details
Wire type, metal, size, footage or reel count, condition and the city where it sits. Photos of the reels, tags and wire ends do most of the work.
-
Get a review and quote
We check the material against current demand and reply with an offer, or with the specific questions that would let us price it.
-
Pickup, freight and paperwork
If the load works, we agree on price, arrange pickup or freight, and handle the paperwork. If it does not, we tell you why.
Who we buy from
Businesses holding wire they will not use
Trade contractors, distributors, plants, institutions and the crews that close out a job. If the wire is unused and identifiable, it is worth a look.
- Electrical contractorsReels left over when a job closes out.
- Distributors & wholesalersOverstock, discontinued SKUs and slow reel stock.
- ManufacturersPlant stock, cancelled orders and surplus production cable.
- Utilities & power providersService, primary and grounding conductors.
- Data centers & telecomPower, control and communication cable from builds.
- Hospitals & universitiesUnused wire from renovations and equipment installs.
Types & sizes
From branch circuits to 69 kV
Sizes as we normally see them on Illinois jobs. Odd and obsolete sizes are still worth a look.

FAQ
Questions sellers ask first
What kind of electrical wire do you buy?
Building wire, industrial cable, service-entrance and underground cable, bare copper and grounding conductors, specialty and flexible cable, and medium or high-voltage cable. Copper or aluminum, new or never-installed surplus, on reels, spools, coils or in cartons.
Do you buy partial reels and short cut lengths?
Yes, if the material is identifiable and still usable. Label the reel with the type, size, voltage and remaining footage when you know it, and send a photo of the tag. Partial reels are reviewed individually because footage and labelling drive the offer.
Will you buy wire that has already been installed?
We focus on new surplus, unused and overstock material. Pulled or used wire is reviewed case by case, and we will tell you honestly if it is not something we can take. Send photos of the jacket and the wire ends so we can judge condition.
How is surplus wire priced?
Price depends on the metal, gauge or MCM size, insulation type, voltage class, condition, total quantity and current copper or aluminum market levels. A verified reel tag and clear photos let us quote faster; a mixed pallet with no labels takes longer.
Do you arrange pickup or do I ship?
Both are possible. Many sellers load our truck or freight carrier at their dock; others prefer to ship on their own account. Tell us about dock access, forklift capacity and reel weights in the quote request and we will work out the simplest option.
Do you buy transformers, switchgear or other equipment?
No. This site and this buying program cover electrical wire and cable only — building wire, cable, cord and conductors. We do not buy transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, MCCs, generators, bus plugs, chillers, machinery or vehicles.
Get in touch
Send the load
One form for the whole load. Photos matter more than perfect paperwork — a clear shot of the reel tag and jacket legend is usually enough to start.
What happens next
Your request goes to saleselectricalbuyers@gmail.com with the photos attached. We reply by phone or email, usually within one business day. Nothing is committed until both sides agree on price and logistics.
Have a load to move?
Send the wire type, footage and a few photos. We reply with a quote or the exact questions that let us price it.
